What could *you* do with five minutes?

This is a question that Lisa-Jo Baker asked her blog readers over four years ago, when she launched a weekly link-up called Five Minute Friday.

Today, I’m asking you the same question: What could you do with five minutes a day?

Here’s an idea:

Join several of us who are planning to write for five minutes every day in the month of October.

We’ll be linking up with The Nester’s 31 Day Challenge, to publish a blog post every day in October — but this year, I’ve added a twist — namely, to write those blog posts in just five minutes each.

Sound like fun?

Just Write

We’re calling it 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes.  I’ll even give you prompts for each day, if you like.

Five Minute Free Writes buttonEven if you don’t have a blog, what better way to get into the habit of writing every day.  You could even post your writing in the comments on my blog, if you want to.  We just want you to write!

Here is a link to the page that provides prompts for each day.  It’s also the place where those who are writing 31 posts in five minute increments will be linking up, so be sure to stop by and click around to read what others have written!
